I think that depends entirely on your definition of zeroing. I have the same condition but interpret it differently to you.

I like to zero at different distances and from different positions to ensure I know my bullet drops to ensure a clean and humane kill. How many rounds does this 'zeroing' take? As many as needed until night am comfortable the rifle is zeroed. When I do this zeroing it may be on improvised targets or on a range but it's still zeroing and not just target shooting.

Gp should not be forced by a new law, forcing people to do what a gov wants is a slippery slope.
We have enough stupid laws.
Passport and driving licenses are managed far better. The problem is the police viewing us all as suspect criminals, take the power away from police and set up a competent gov body

One thing that's often mentioned in discussions like this - and which I'm not in agreement with - is 10 year certificates. I wouldn't want to see them go longer than 5 years.

How about 10yr certificates but with extra DR checks every few years?

1) Remove moderators from certificates
2) Treat all Section 1 firearms the same (i.e. allow LBPs and section 1 shotguns to be loaned / used as club guns)
3) Credit card-sized certificates with information / ammunition purchases recorded electronically (chip etc) instead of A4 paper

1 Remove moderators from FAC 2 10 yr cert like passport /driving licence 3 GP report at 5 years or if GP reports notifiable condition during cert life 4 variation 1for 1 of same chamber 5 update land at 5 yrs or earlier if changing calibre 6 Most important put the HO guidance statury on the computor the same way as MOT testing is done if its not on the screen you cannot fail it and you cannot make up fails as the system will not let you 6 if you have FAC a SGC should be included if you are fit to hold FAC then you should have SGC included
