Chiller Temp Logging with SMS alert

Hi all,

In my day job i work in IT so I've put together a small system that monitors my chiller temp & humidity and then will send an SMS alert if the temp goes above a certain threshold, it then sends an SMS again when it' back in the normal range.

It's cost me about £100ish to put together and connects using wifi.

The same system also graphs the temp using 1minute readings and allows me to go back and view the history. This graph is accessible via a phone/web browser.

Why... well i used to hate taking twice daily temp readings from my chiller and storing them in the diary.
The reason I'm posting here is I'm wondering if this sort of thing would be useful to anyone?

This is very much in it's infancy and deigned for myself to make my life easier, is this something people would be interested in? Are there any solutions out there at the minute that offers this?

Thanks in advance for any ideas or constructive feedback

A great idea, and the graphing is useful, although, I will say the InkBird wireless BBQ thermometers go from 0-300°C and can be read from a smartphone app so would work in a chiller, they do have an alarm for this although they do lack the graphing part.

Maybe worth a patent application for the novel part of the design although I would guess a refrigerator manufacturer has this sewn up.

I like the idea of SMS alerts but I’ve got one of these (14 quid off Amazon - big difference from £100) which stores loads of data points and uploads to the app on your phone over Bluetooth. More than enough for Food Business stuff and saves daily recording of temps but wouldn’t automatically send SMS alert if chiller failed.

I use a blebox sensor that reports over Wi-Fi to an app on my phone - I think I paid £40 per sensor, one for the chiller, one for the freezer.
