Client stalking agreement/contract

Would your BASC insurance cover you if you as a client slipped on a highseat you’re paying to be on? Or would the highseat owners insurance cover you for the slip?

If you’re taking someone out for a paid service you need ought to have insurance. The client doesn’t need. Any come back will be on the guide. I have insurance for my business and my clients don’t require any. An area often over looked is if I can’t take a client out and I ask a friend to take them

Guides insurance if applicable. No different to any other paid activity. No requirement for clients to have insurance on a paid stalk. If you do have business insurance you need to make sure any other guides are covered too. I have a t/c document with everything on. New clients get it before 1st outting. Mostly fees and cancellation details but everyone knows where they stand. Clients have consumer rights and you need to cover yourself well financially.

I've just had an email from Clivertons, they request that clients have their own insurance, but it isn't a condition of them providing cover.
It is to cover instances that might occur outside of their cover, i believe it's just to cover all bases....or backsides!
So personally I will still insist on it, and if you don't have insurance, well I wouldn't want you shooting on my property.
Interesting information, thanks for flagging-I also use them for commercial stalking and employer’s liability insurance for the people that guide on my ground and no mention so far-I’ll watch for it on the next renewal.

I used to be with Clivertons but found them a bit archaic and slow to modernise. I’ve since moved to AIM Risk, whose policy now covers all my commercial work, including guided stalking.

If you ask AIM Risk, they’ll happily issue a To Whom It May Concern letter confirming my Public Liability, Employer’s Liability, and Professional Indemnity cover, I can provide this on request.

So no, I don’t expect my clients to have their own insurance, my policy covers them for the activities we undertake together. They may, however, wish to have personal cover for their own equipment and belongings, as that’s separate.
