clubs around derby

I'm looking for a new club around derby ( 1/2 to 3/4 of an hours drive )for rim fire up to 44 mag l.b.p nothing to serious bench rest type shooting and relaxed anyone have any links or leads would be great

there's a centrefire club as well , the air weapons club is quite separate

Was a member there years ago only had 90 members back then nice club it’s grown quite a bit since then.

I visited the swadlincote range as its 5 minutes down the road from me and would have been quite useful to check zero ect. They wanted you to jump through fire hoops to become A member and on speaking to a lad already A member he said most of the members already signed up there just keep their membership to keep there ticket and don’t actually go that often.
I don’t know if most places are like this

Went to have a look last year and very regimented and a very long waiting list long training course with an interview at the end . I'm all for health and safety but .... and the sad thing is more clubs are run like this that's why I'm looking

Unfortunately this is what clubs are required to do in order to continue to fully satisfy the requirements of Home Office approval. Though I will be the first to admit that some clubs just take way too far and you wonder if they are trying to discourage new members rather than welcome them.
I've never shot at Derby but I've heard very good things about the club which I understand has a particularly strong gallery rifle shooting section.

I was a member for many years at Derby, til I moved back to Wales. It was a great club and got me into competition shooting. Lots of support and good banter.

Trent Rifle and pistol club Long Eaton, usually have a probation period of three trip’s with the safety officer.
But I’m not sure if that applies if you are leaving another club.
Shooting every Sunday morning and after so long you can apply for a key to shoot any time you want too.
