I lift my 200amp welding set in the back with mine but not at the same time a deer! The concept was born from having to change full size Acy bottles in my welding trailer in the late 90's, a post with a pulley and winch around the valve
Most I see are far too complicated and expensive (like quad sticks)

Swing them on the tailgate have the head off starting from underneath (gravity is your friend)

I had something very similar on a JD Gator several years ago. It worked very well. Used the winch line as the lift mechanism. Same geometry as a skip lorry basically.
