I’m currently using sierra 150grn gamekings in my Tikka 308 and I have just opened the last box of 100. has anyone been using copper heads with success. if so what make and weight?
has the powder weight changed much? would like to hear of peoples experience with them.many thanks.

I have been using copper bullets for quite a while in 308.
130gr Barnes TTSX really opens up the potential of the 308 vs. heavier bullets, you can easily hit 2900-3000fps from a 20 inch barrel which gives point and shoot ability out past 200 meters.
That said, I've also just started to experiment with the 168gr Barnes as a woodland load. The 130 can be a bit brutal on muntjac close-in so I wanted something slower and heavier. Plus, it's fun to faff with load development and having two loads gave me an excuse to buy a second scope 🤫

Whilst i have not used them for hunting yet i have developed a load for 136gn peregrine.
I too am still using Sierra Gamekings, 150gn.
The 136gn peregrine load i developed gave a good small group if a little hot but what i did find was it shot to the same point of impact at 200yds as the 150gn gamekings.
This is through a BSA cf2 in 308 with 24 inch barrel.
So no scope adjustment.
