That was the case with the CZ455, no such instructions on the CZ457. Maybe they have tightened the tolerances?

Afraid not, see page 4, nothing has changed.

Rifles supplied with an additional barrel as an OEM bundle at first purchase are "fitted" at the factory, those purchased at a later date need fitting by a gunsmith

Yes, a variation is needed for an additional barrel. The advice is that it should be first fitted by a reputable gunsmith too, headspace and all that.

I have fitted my own CZ457 barrels and adjust the headspace on a regular basis to suit whatever ammunition that I'm using. Well within my limited capabilities.

RFD handed me the barrel kit, and said nothing more to do apart from torque it properly.

Accurate combo, so I am not going to touch it.

Measured action and barrel. Fitted the barrel, function tested it. And still setup on target before closing bolt on a live round, just like I'd do after any work, by myself or A. N. Other.
