CZ527 Mag & Bottom metal.

Hi all, I have a CZ 527 in .222. Cracking Fox and Roe (I'm in Scotland) rifle.

Only downside is the magazine, which I find digs into my back when dragging a Roe over difficult terrain.

I've seen a company in USA that trims the magazine lips in front of the trigger guard and trims the magazine to fit flush (almost) with the bottom metal. They don't do International work however.

Does anyone know a gunsmith in UK who might carry out this work?

Cheers.

If you can't find a 'smith, what about one of those Napier roll-up rifle slips?

Goes in a pocket and might give you enough padding to be comfortable

Thanks guys.

Regards the slip, I quite like the idea of a sleeker profile for the rifle though.

Regards the .223 mag, I believe the .223 mag is longer than the .222 mag, so won't fit in the mag well.

If the length is the same, i think but please check, you could run the 3 shot 223 magazine after you had trimmed the webs which guide the magazine into place. If it would help send me a whatsapp number or email address and I will send you pictures of my 223. If the lengths are the same you can purchase a magazine and bottom metal from rifle mags.

David.
