Day on hinds

I'm not usually one to do write ups but im currently back at my dogs (the lovely Schehallion hotel) after a day on the hill with @KeithW
Didn't seem that wet but by the time we finished i was wet wet wet!
Anyway Keith was a pleasure to stalk with. We had one false start then got ito a large group of crouched hinds. After an age a mature hind stood and I eventually got a broadside shot at 160 yards on to what turned out to be a very mature monster of a hinds.
The group split and a numer stopped 240 yards away and I took another.
We walked and stalked a bit more but luck wasn't on our side. Nevertheless a very enjoyable day with a very knowledgeable guide.
Now recovered with a hot shower and a couple of drams of Laphroig!1000015926.jpg1000015927.jpg1000015932.jpg

I have fancied a trip up to have a go at the hinds before I get too worn out and weary.
How would I go about organising a trip like yours? Package or separate bookings.
I’m sure there’s a thread out there covering it but thought I’d ask. Cheers

I would highly recommend booking with @KeithW. His ground is relatively easy going terrain (although the man himself is about 7ft tall with a stride to match🤣).
Plenty hotels locally. The Schehallion Hotel in Aberfeldy is pleasant, right in the middle of the town and ample dining options within a few minutes walk.
Aberfeldy itself is about 10/15 minutes off the A9 and right at the southern edge of the Highlands.

Right opposite is the Three Lemons. We always use it on our trips - excellent food and wine….
