Deer pancreas

I’m trying to find out about the pancreas in deer. Where exactly is it anatomically? What does it look like; colour, size etc?

Any photos would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

It sits along the duodenum - the first bit of the small intestine after the stomach. I get to play with some interesting kit and these are the sort of 3D images now available. The yellow bit is the pancreas. It's a dog, but it's in the same sort of place.

Thats interesting! It would be good to have a 3d model you could interact with to see the difference between different shot placements.

IT's quite a pale pink and very soft. I tried to find images but nothing was really good enough. If I had been a couple of seconds faster tonight I could have taken a photo of one

If you have another opportunity to take a photo please do, I’d really appreciate it. Seems there’s very little info on pancreas in deer anywhere!
