Deer terminology in Italian

I’m hoping that an Italian speaker could tell me what these terms are in Italian:

hard antlers
antlers in velvet
rut
buck
doe
roe deer

Capreolo is roe deer. I learnt that during a very brief flirtation with a much younger Italian girl working in a Decathlon store.

She was young, pretty and seemed keen to talk about hunting. But had a huge bogey hanging out of one nostril. Sorry for the digression but when I’m on my death bed I will probably regret focussing on the nasal issue instead of the fact a Bonny Italian girl half my age wanted to talk to me!

Sorry, this seems to have triggered a deep melancholy . But capreolo is roe deer. I think that was the question. I can’t help with the rest.

Did I mention a young woman showed the tiniest interest in me? Did I?

The bogey would have put me off as well, I would have had to point it out (literally )

doe is daina and male is il daino
hard antlers would be corna dure
rut (mating season) would be stagione degli amori per i cervi (although this dopesnt translate to specific term for rut)

antlers in velvet would be palchi in velluto

I have checked these with my italian colleague who is not familiar with deer terminology specifically but confirms they will make sense.

Sorry to contradict eminent colleagues, but I happen to be an Italian speaker as well as a stalker
-hard antlers = palchi puliti (i.e. clean)
-antlers in velvet = palchi in velluto
-rut = calore
-buck = becco, (for roe, chamois and ibex, while a fallow buck (or stag?) is a "daino maschio"
-doe = femmina (i.e. female)
-roe deer = capriolo
Please note that while the English word "deer" indicates a ruminant from muntjac to , wapiti, maral and moose, the Italian word "cervo" ranges from red deer upwards and is never used to designate roes and fallows.
