I'm glad I did it, yes it was expensive but ease of use and accuracy is so much better. Throwing charges and trickling up is so much quicker aswell

I use a digi scale for quick checks (bullets cases etc), but a balance beam for actual measuring of powder.

Digis don't work for trickling

Yes, they do I have been doing so with my PACT scale for over 15 years.

On balance do some very good electronic scales. My replacement carat scales seem to be perfectly fine. I use a dipper to under throw charge and trickle up. I think it is accurate to 0.05 grn so when trickling up to 25.2 grn it seems to consistently register 25.16grn which as far as I need is perfectly adequate. I am happy to be a tiny fraction under. As for accuracy just put a 40 v max on the scale and using same bullet reads 39.98 grn. That's good enough for my .204 foxing ammo.
