watched an episode this evening of salvage hunters the main man had a green wax smock (possibly a barbour by the zip pull but maybe not it wasn't a longshoreman) anyone an idea of what it is

Hi I too saw that episode when he was wearing that smock ,I’ve had a look and the results were
the x engineered casual jacket or the Ben fogle Keswick casual jacket , if you asked me they are smocks not jackets but if Barbour thinks they will sell more calling them jackets and not smocks who am I to say different,I hope this helped Bazil

Ive met him a couple of times he seemed an OK guy, and he's now allowed back in Conwy Pubs after been put on pub watch for getting into a fight with the husband of a lady he was having an affair with, (as was the other guy)

Try some of these. Their own brand wax cotton clothing is made in the UK as well:
Really?? If you can get a reasonable wax jacket made in the UK for under £50, then why the **** is it several times more expensive to get one that's been made by an underpaid, superannuated old hooker in a Saigon sweatshop?

All I know is their own brand gear is sold and marked as made in the UK and they make a point of saying so on their website too. I've bought clothing from them, though not waxed cotton, and been to their shop. Their own brand does appear to be very good quality.

In which case, I'll pay a visit in the Autumn. Thanks for the tip.

They're mostly an online seller. Their shop is tiny and I believe they only set it up because of local demand from shooters, farmers and horsey folk who buy all their stuff there and just want to nip in for things. Not every line in stock is on display so don't expect to while away an hour wandering round a glitzy store doing a bit of window shopping.
