Wanted: Driven Boar

Some friends and I are planning a driven boar trip this time next year and are after any recommendations?
We are looking for 3/4 days hunting, for about 8 of us. Half the boys want to go back to France and 5* accommodation, the other half are keen on something in eastern Europe and a bit more rustic.

Any and all advice welcome.

Regards

Earl

Mark. How much do you want to spend? I had a cracking trip in Serbia last year, 53 pigs and excellent accomodation.

we are running hunts for pigs to sweden, finland (moose and whitetail as well), croatia and maybe bulgaria, the last 2 will include wolf for something a little different. You know its wild hunting when wolf are on the menu.

Having hunted wild boar in Sweden many times both driven and stalked I can fully recommend Sweden

Hi Earl,

I have been hunting Hungary for past 10 years. If you are interested I can let you have an offer, quite a few areas are already booked up for coming season already! One of last hunts of season managed 106 boar in 4 days.
Phil

YOU HAVE A PM. PLEASE MAKE AN INTRODCUTION.

If you want a well organised, good accomodation, good food and reasonable price then I can recommend Frank Ille of Basswood.
He has gone back to using some of the grounds he used before and the pig count seems to have increased or more like gone back to how it used to be.
One trip this year, twelve guns, some novices, three days produced thirty pigs and some big ones among them too.

Frank organises his trips so well there is very little waiting round, he keeps you informed as to what is happening. He has good accomodation. His trips did go down a bit when he used the same ground every time but has now got some of his good grounds back. His price is also very reasonable as it includes everything, well almost everything !

Been around a bit on pigs and IMO yorkshiredeerstalking (European Hunting) is top value for money and real wild hunting. I shot 7 from two trips this year and know who i will be with next year.

You were the 'pig magnet' this year Paul, it may have been something to do with your new 'Nob'
The 7 you shot and the 3 I shot must have been half of the bag for the six days but the other half shared between 20 + weren't so lucky, perhaps they ought to get big nobs too:-D
I have two trips in January to Hungary so wish me luck, I'll do my best even without a big nob :D

I'll keep you posted.
For those not in the know about Paul's big Nob, look through a few ot the other posts and it has nothing to do with the 'after dark whippings' mentioned on another post I might add :D

well paul has got a big nob I agree, i was lucky too shooting 5 boar for 8 shots, if everyone had shot like me paul and eddie there would have been many more. 1 guy had 17 shots for 1 pig! another 9 for 1 LOL but they were both new to the game.

I am almost certain the Nob did the trick but I'm not sure I'd like the idea of putting my hand on such a big one:doh:

Cue - picture from Paul ;)

Love my knob.... yeh both trips we had lots of shots but as a group we didn't shoot well, an experienced group shot 20 in one drive on the same grounds this season  A good number of whippings though which was good both trips
