Drone pro 10x day use

Looking for some advise,
I purchased a drone pro the bag in December not used it in anger yet, only looked through it a couple of times at night and day. My question is:
For day use do you have to use both filters, as it seems to be in black and white unless I remove the first rubber cap, that says do not remove in daylight? I remember reading someone saying on the nvforum to remove the first cover, as the image wasn’t very good in the day with it.

Also at night do I remove both covers?

i just want to check with other owners out there and not damage it.

hi bud

night use is the main lens no covers, just the rubber one when not in use,

day use screw on the end cap with the red filtered centre job done. then use the rubber one to cover it when not used.

try not to use the scope in the daylight without the screw on one or it may damage the unit,

The rubber cover is from a tubed scope, they used it as it fit the Drone. No need to use any of the covers with the Drone as the picture is bang on without. The filter (ir cut/red filter) only brings out the colour more i never use any as if you are like me you would end up leaving it behind.

Thanks for that, anyone know whether a pvs14 shutter eyecup, will fit the drone drone? The one I brought off of nv gear is like a bloody tractor tyre and uncomfortable!

I did the same got one off Carl never used it lol.

Yes i have them on all my kit.

Thanks I remember getting one off of you a while back, they are a lot better than the ones from Carl. Any ideas where to get a shutter cup to suit?

Try a ad on the nv forum or sometimes they come up on the Bay.
