DSC1 manuals for preparation - David Stratton book?

I did my dsc1 with basc last year , they send a pdf file thingy that you plug into a laptop which is the manual , I’m old fashioned and got the manual off them,it’s an option ,it’s so much easier to dip in and out of , read a bit at your leisure or take it with you to read different places .
My advice would be do the classroom based course and get the manual , met some great lads on the course and so much from the guy covering the course ,

I did my DSC1 with David back in 2007, I still refer back to the course book that he provided then which he wrote.

A really good one to read is Larry Fowles The Complete Deer Stalkers Guide. Lots of great information there.
I second Larry Fowles' book as being very good, particularly the diseases part. However, nothing will beat thoroughly reading and re-reading the DSC1 course manual!
Everything you will be asked is in that manual. Some questions will require verbatim answers as written in the manual.

Personally I’d read The Complete Deer Stalker by Larry Fowles, then subscribe to the app and start the tests on there!
