Dumped pheasants

Afternoon all , just had some terrible news of 50 shot pheasants dumped on the side of a main road here in Carmarthenshire. What is wrong with some people, all the hard work that goes into keeping these wonderful birds and then just dumped, as a keeper it just doesn’t make sense to me. Good food gone to waste and terrible advertising for the shooting industry. This is not what we need in these hard times 👎

Not good but in contrast a local Farm had x4 Eight wheel tipper loads close to 80/90 ton dumped in their road, a mile away 1 tipper load completely blocked the small country road with rubbish.
3 big hay stacks set alight the year before...
Those tippers belong to a firm will be taxed tested also insured otherwise the ANPR cameras would ping them all day long in there day work.
Not good yes but sort out the 20 ton a time first.

Unbelievable that someone has even went through the trouble of counting them, Also seems very strange that they've been dumped in full view

Is there a date accompanying those pictures Mark Richards (Or your source) posted?
Thanks, Ken.

Poaching pheasants does happen on the land I look after, We caught some poachers red handed last year taking them out of the trees with catapults, I'm not sure what market they had for them
Travellers do it for betting puposes. This is usually just after poults have been put in release pens. They just pull the heads off and go back to camp with them. The winner has the most heads.
