Ever wondered why cars rattle after six months ownership.

When they screw the bits together the screw exerts a holding force of say 8NM the plastic part resists this by pushing back against the screw so the 8NM holds tight. After say six months of being under this pressure the plastic slowly (deflates) loses the resistance and now only 4-5NMs are holding the bits together.
I thought it might interest some on here, lots of fixations in the dashboard area do this and can never be got to to add more NMs.
 
Drives me insane, used to have a merc c250 coupe which went back and back to garage and they couldn’t fix… Worst car I’ve ever had, tried to chuck me in the ditch at every opportunity…. Current daily (x3M) creaks and rattles since 6 months after new, 6 years old in Jan, I’ve just used to it …
