Evri Again

I know been done before, but this is new to me. As most experience an aborted delivery is usually marked as no-one home even when someone is, but this I haven't experienced before.

Ordered item which seemed to take ten days or so to get on the Evri tracking system. When finally on the system it went from at the distribution depot to delivery slowly. Then after about another week, magically there is a problem and can't delivered. Checked photo made of delivery label, all ok. So now the parcel has a new delivery address, the senders with the return address same. Sender changed it back on the system to the correct one and now it will be delivered. Lo and behold when rescheduled for delivery there is a problem and the address has been changed back to the senders. Note not correctly amended. Needless to say the parcel has been sent back to the sender. No attempt at delivery but on the Evri system it is a completed delivery. New shame on the rubbish company. As we all note its down to the local courier and in my East Devon area they are rubbish. Whenever it is a Evri parcel it rarely ever gets to us, either no one home (we both work from home) and finally returned to sender.

From both sender and recipient point of view, it seems if the delivery address is to far from the depot, just change address back and return to sender.

Well UPS last week tried to 2x deliveries I was not in. Next delivery Monday. Assumed would be 9am as that's the time of the previous 2. But no 12 till 14 slot. I had to go out by 3 pm. 2.45 delivered. Said to driver about timed slot. He didn't know anything about it.!
Royal mail/ parcel force not much better.

I don’t have a problem with any of the delivery companies and I live right in the sticks, it’s all down to the brain dead drivers, if I have a goalies delivery and does happen rarely it’s usually down to subby or new drivers who don’t know the round

There is no excuse these days with what3words app available

I had an evri parcel go missing for 3 weeks
It was only 30 miles away
I got compensation but I didn't leave it there, I complained to the chief executive and got another £50.

Much of it is down to the individual local delivery driver.

Our local Evri courier may be the exception, but he’s superb. Never had a problem once the parcel has been passed to the local driver for the last-mile delivery.

More than I can say for any of the other local couriers!

You guys have it easy.
We have to hide in the bushes outside our house armed with Tec-9’s and AK’s ….until a delivery van (AMAZON, EVRI, DPD etc) is spotted headed our way. We then deploy stingers as they attempt to pass by without delivering our parcels, plus a few warning shots into the tyres….Sometimes they lose control of the vehicle immediately and end up in the hedge, other times they come to a stop and we drag the driver out of the cab and force him to open the back doors to reveal all the parcels they can’t be bothered to deliver to our house. The neighbours usually join in at this point and all of a sudden it’s like Christmas Day, with parcels being ripped open and children playing in the streets!!

It’s basically the only way to get your hands on your parcels 🤣

Just update the delivery instructions to 'leave in safe place' they'll drop it wherever you want..
