Until recently my friend used Royal mail. Too many parcels went missing at the depot, Evri parcels are tracked better!

I share a drive with 2 other properties, yesterday as I was leaving home in the pouring rain I noticed a parcel left under the sign on the road that says the names of the properties. The parcel was for my neighbour, and clearly marked with Evri’s labels, this is Evri’s idea of delivery - just leave it on the road under the sign that says the name of the property. This isn’t our usual service, we normally have a young lady named Kate who is always on time and always pleasant and courteous. Over the past few weeks service has been as bad as DHL, I’m assuming it’s temporary Christmas staff (that’s not DHL - they’re always rubbish, I quite often get messages that they couldn’t delivery because my address is wrong).

Out past our village pub with the dogs this am, an Amazon parcel correctly addressed to the pub, ... but left blocking a side fire exit.

Have to remember that quite a few delivery drivers have English as their 2nd language, so reading the address can be a problem!

Only ever had good experiences with Evri. I think it comes down to the local guy delivering. That said, when he goes on holiday, parcels don’t arrive until he returns from his golfing trip to the algarve

We used to have loads of problems with EVRI but we have had a lad now for about a year and he is superb. There was a post on our local community group about him recently and hundreds of replies praising him.

Evri are an absolute disgrace.

Used to think they had were the worst by a huge margin, but having trouble with DHL we well now.

Hope they both go bankrupt...but doubt that's likely

I think Evri merged with DHL not long ago

I've found that over the years, the RM "special delivery" has been the only reliable service.

“Herpes” more like….. & just as bad after they changed to EVRI!

Might be good in some areas to the south but utterly useless up here! The problem is that, no matter how much recipients/end users complain or leave negative feedback, sellers keep using them as they are the cheapest option. I’d personally rather pay a wee bit more for postage via a reputable carrier & actually get my parcel safely/on time. Last couple that I got from EVRI were late & so badly damaged that it looked as if they’d been sorted by the companies security dog.

The next problem though is who are reputable?? Royal Fail are also an absolute joke. Just purchased an item off of the SD with excellent service & prompt dispatch by the seller via RM 24 Tracked. Took 4 days to arrive!! And the whole “we are experiencing delays due to high volumes of deliveries at this time of year’ doesn’t wash with me either - it’s Christmas at the same time every year! Prepare properly, ensure that you have adequate staff & resources available & stop taking payment for a service contract that you know that you are currently unable to provide DPD …… (“Doesn’t Deliver Parcels”??) ironically probably the best up here from my personal experience? Not the quickest or cheapest but their tracking actually seems to work, communication/delivery estimates are good & you can still (albeit with a bit of unnecessary effort) talk to a human being if things go awry?

Any delivery company such as EVRI is only as good as the local delivery agents it uses to deliver the last leg of the delivery journey. In our village we have a very pleasant young lady who delivers all our EVRI parcels and she is most efficient and extremely helpful. There have been no lost or missed deliveries so much so that I always give her a 5 star review when asked for review by EVRI. I suspect it may be a different story for EVRI recipients in large towns and cities where EVRI might struggle to attract the right sort of delivery agents.
