Excessive Smegma

As an echo to what others have said, very often quite normal though it does sound quite profound in your dogs case. As Buchan says neutering will reduce but not necessarily eliminate it. If you don't wish to neuter (by the sounds of things you don't NEED to) then as John Gryphon says, sheath flushing/cleaning can help, just be careful and ensure that anything you choose to flush up there is not going to cause tissue irritation and is used at the correct dilutions.

Most dogs have this. In fact, many dogs sort the problem themselves by cleaning their todger fairly frequently. But if you've got a male dog that lives in the house, then, to a greater or lesser degree you are going to have to have a bit of a cleaning regime to negate it. It might be worth checking there's no infection if it's particularly bad, but if that was the case, I suspect self-cleaning would be more apparent and frequent.

Just don't do the cuddle and kissing thing after he's done his ablutions!

Well he is in for the chop 27th July.

Had a cocker before and he never showed anything like this. Honestly it pours out of him.

It’s not just a cleaning regime it’s a full time job.

My dog had the same issue and we have a white tiled kitchen floor so it really showed up and if it had a chance to dry was a real pain to get off.

He's been castrated and do t have that issue at all now.
