I was lucky enough to be just outside vancouver up in Tweedsmuir Provincial Park hiking.

Sat ontop of cariboo pass and saw a few cariboo and the odd moose. Also had a few gophers screaming at me

It's amazing out there and will be going back at sompoint.

Thanks Stalker... and for those of you who have not visited yet, when stalker says just outside Vancouver... Tweedsmuir park is a whole days drive... about 1000 kilometers... past Bella Coola .
This gives everyone an idea of how vast British Columbia is. Lots of grizzly bears in that area around Bella Coola too.

Welcome fellow 30-06 user. I spent a wonderful riding holiday in BC a couple of years ago loved it. Not too far from Kamloops if I remember I had some great fishing.

Bella coola is nice aswell, only place I've been where people put electric fences around their fruit trees.

Apparently it's not un common to find bears drunk off the fermented fruit in, the garden!

The moose bull I saw would of given my pick up a run for its money in size, if anyone's wondering how big one actually is vs TV

I have hunted almost every year in the Kamloops area Tusker... it is a great area for deer, moose, bear and cougar. More and more wolves too. Big cattle ranching area too, I imagine you had a great time.

Stalker, Bella Coola is a very different place isnt it... beautiful, wild scenery, known for some record book grizzlies and yes... lots of moose.

Hi and welcome, my father was Canadian soldier over in UK during and after the 39-45 troubles so I feel very connected to Canuks.
BTW do you still feel yourself as an expat brit or as an immigrant Canadian after all these years?

Thank you... I am outnumbered by enfield now....
I still think of myself as an expat Brit.... have only one passport... eu red, but I guess I will be getting the beautiful blue one again in the near future.
