...have lost a rifle in their Coventry depot on an RFD to RFD transfer!!
meant to be here today so I could go play this weekend now they reckon it will be Tuesday as they are not sure where it is!!

they managed to separate two boxes picked up under the same consignment and deliver one of them!

Morons!

right I feel a bit better now

Not sure where it is? Surely if you or I couldn't stipulate exactly where one of our firearms was at any point in time - much less for the three days between now and Tuesday - we'd have some explaining to do to certain parties, so why do Parcelforce think it will take them until Tuesday to sort out? Surely their response should have been more along the lines of "That will be resolved by 5pm today Mr. Bewsher...."??? Can't imagine that having a rifle sloshing around in the system is acceptable to them...what happens if they can't find it? I think the phrase is '****storm'.......may be worth pointing that out to them to encourage 'em to get their finger out......

Hope it turns up unscathed and soon for you.

if I had known the RFD was planning to use them instead of TNT I would have stopped them.
W@nkers lost a press of mine if the Coventry Triangle a while back, 4 weeks it went missing!

furious!

Well they did want to 'do away' with firearms deliveries! Guess this is the standard of service that will be the norm.

Been there, done that. Simply call 101 and report the firearm as missing and give the Parcelfarce depot as the last know location. Get the incident number and then call the clowns back and see how they react. I did exactly this and my rifle was delivered an hour later by the depot manager in his car.

Probably some tyke realised what it was and a friend happened to have some ammo so they decided to have a play this week-end.
I hope they clean it before they return it
On a return trip from Poland once our rifles 'went adrift' for nearly half an hour at Heathrow and one of our party said that if something wasn't done immediately he would call the police and report them missing.
Funny thing, they found them almost immediately, they had gone to the wrong terminal and were being collected as they spoke.
Prior to the mention of the Police it was just a shrug of the shoulders and ' I'm sure they'll turn up soon'
I hope it turns out Ok for you Edd.

Happened to a mate, rifle should've gone from Ledbury to Surrey but went via Manchester and vanished. It never was found, he was paid by the insurance, but wanted the rifle.
Parcelfarce is how they are known by many other courier companies.

So many loops to jump through to get a firearms certificate. Don't have your rifle out of the locked secured metal cabinet except if using it, taking it to or from using it or cleaning it. If it gets lost or stolen, it's the Spanish Inquisition. A pain in the bum, but all good stuff to keep these firearms safe and out of the hands of criminals.

But let Parcelforce get hold of a firearm and it's "Oh, we can't seem to find it, never mind, ha ha, we'll hide behind our corporate image and nobody is responsible."

A shooting buddy of mine recently lost a ML pistol with TNT. I have heard that a whole container of explosives is currently lost with them - many 100s of Kg.

No parcel goes unopened forever and the lack of investigation is shocking. Essentially the paperwork is so poor there is no way to find out so if a driver gets a bonus unlisted package it's his to do with as he wants honest or not.

Eventually this will be the end of anything but F to F.

yup sounds like a farce but tell you what.....
if im ordering summit online now I try to find out which courier etc and if its YODEL!!!! then order cancelled and ill buy it somewhere elses

now they really are a bunch o useless muppets!!!

+1 on Yodel. Parcels left in hedges... terrible.....

How about a Freedon of Information request to ascertain how many guns and explosives they have "lost" recently...

Did you buy this from an RFD? If so, it really is their responsibility, same aplies for private sellers.
