Fallow buck

I had a trip out to a friends place yesterday evening with the intentions of stalking a Fallow buck.
What a great trip it was, we got to the ground, made ourselves ready and set off in search of a buck.
Almost immediately two bucks were spotted by my friend, he signalled me and I made my way toward them.
The stalk was silent and we got to approx 100yds and I selected to buck to shoot.

The shot was bang on the money and the buck fell after taking a just a few steps.

No mate I'll not get it mounted, it is good head though, it's also my first Fallow buck.

Well done. No wonder they were on that field the grass is superb!

Presumably you will have the skull boiled out, especially as a first. Nice colour too on the antlers, I shot a sorrel on my patch on the 20th that was still in velvet.
