Fan belts

Has anyone used one those segmented fan belts? I need to replace a fan belt on a small 14hp tractor but to get onto the the crankshaft pulley means uncoupling the drive shaft which looks like a b..... awkward task, even for small hands! Just wondered if the clip together belts might be a practical solution

The vessel I am on at the moment is using them on the engines, seem to be fine.

In my youth, my father constantly used segmented belts on similar applications. Good enough IMHO but costlier and may not last as long.

No - an old school's Boxford. Basic, but it does all I need. My father had a belt driven Myford (segmented) but it was in very poor state so I kept the Boxford. I did turn down a Harrison I now regret

Had one on my DB 1494 until the drive shaft went so had to replace shaft so put a new belt on then.
