North Wales based Farrier; always have to drop the Farrier bomb into convos!

Joined as once my variation comes through I'll be cutting my teeth in the world of deer stalking .

Have done and will continue to do as much driven shooting as I can get away with before the wife's asks too many questions 😅 Have 2 working labs and too many shotguns! Favoring the little 28bore last couple of seasons; massively underrated gun!

Welcome from Lancashire. Agree with you on the 28 gauge. I owned a 'Woodward' 28g 40 years ago, traded it in for a 'Churchill' 12g. I wished I hadn't ! ☹
Enjoy the forum and your stalking.

Welcome from a Gloucestershire blacksmith...not of the farrier sort! Good friends with Cecil Swan though...

Ah Mr Swan... you won't find many modern day farriers who haven't used one of his gas forges at one point in their career!

And thanks for the warm welcome

Out to 50 yards the little 28 competes with the 12 no problem, and it throws a fantastic pattern!
