A little project I got almost finished today.
This is something I started ages and over the last couple of days officially got tired of seeing it hanging around.
The thinking is simple, a fixed blade knife designed to look similar to a traditional Sheepfoot folder opened up and stuck there.
2.5mm SF100 blade steel with a full width flat grind.
The handle scales are of stabilised and book matched English Walnut, the timber given to me years ago by my friend (and possibly nicest man in UK gun making?), Alex Torok of Smith and Torok.
The scales secured by three 3mm nickel silver pins.
It is a lovely slender little thing that also feels very capable, the blade has a cutting edge of 70mm and it measures in at 180mm overall.
I imagine it slipped inside a leather pouch and tucked away in a coat or jacket pocket.
