Fixed Blade Folder?

A little project I got almost finished today.

This is something I started ages and over the last couple of days officially got tired of seeing it hanging around.

The thinking is simple, a fixed blade knife designed to look similar to a traditional Sheepfoot folder opened up and stuck there.

2.5mm SF100 blade steel with a full width flat grind.

The handle scales are of stabilised and book matched English Walnut, the timber given to me years ago by my friend (and possibly nicest man in UK gun making?), Alex Torok of Smith and Torok.

The scales secured by three 3mm nickel silver pins.

It is a lovely slender little thing that also feels very capable, the blade has a cutting edge of 70mm and it measures in at 180mm overall.

I imagine it slipped inside a leather pouch and tucked away in a coat or jacket pocket.

Very nice. Great to see a nice that is different to the norm. So many ‘custom’ knives out there at the moment that are just slight variations of the same thing.

Didn't we do an assortment of these for BB back in the day Stuart ? It was a Secret Santa sort of thing where everyone involved made a fixed blade of a known folder and gave it to the next guy on the list .. and received one from the guy before.

I made a fixed blade Buck 110 for someone and I received a fixed blade copy of a big Spyderco folder that still sits in my workshop somewhere.

Actually now you mention that I do recall it, I didn't make one though, those KITH type things were always a disaster, much like the passarounds.
