Fixed scope dilemma.

typically i see them for 1000-3000 with the scopes. couple ancient ones in Oulu for 350-500 that require major servicing and come in unpractical combinations like 16/65 +8x57r wich makes ammo not inpossible but definitely excludes walking into my local gunshop. Mine is 12/70-.243win wich iam told is very rare.

12g/.243 is a very rare combination as it is below the permitted calibre/Joule limit in Germany where most were produced and on a 12g frame it makes them a bit too wide IMO. It might well have been targeted at USA customers.

works fine for my purposes, birds, roe deer, hare. Loads of drillings in 222 also exist here but i considered it too Limited.

Any clue when my new scope was aproximately made?
