are you in a release area for the local do gooders ? had a problem with polecats round here due to the same problem.

It has been mentioned that suspicious vans dumping foxes were seen in area but its many years ago now.
Those foxes were incredibly stupid though and bin bags kept getting shredded around here not something a ‘country fox’ would do in my opinion.

i am a firm believer that town foxes injured etc are being released near a few of my permissions. i see numerous behaviour patterns which can indicate this. some of the suspected tame ones show no haste when winded or spooked by noise. i shot 2 last week that just sat and watched me for near on a minute. i am sure a hill or moor fox lives on instinct and fear. also numbers back this up. im 50% up on last years numbers already. as already mentioned a NV and thermal combo for me seem to work wonders. i have little need for callers etc.

Town folk with a fox problem will get a pesty in but ask for them not to be destroyed and ask if they can be relocated which is arguably illegal.

I think those ones around me get sold to the local hunt but I suspect the client has no idea of that.
