Recieved these photos from Toby, Border, they must have been taken at least ten years ago. They show my late Slovensky Kopov, Niko. If I remember right it was a training track on a roe that I knew had not run very far. When I shot the buck it was stood by a small forest pool. At the shot the buck jumped into the water and then ran off. A while later when I started the track Niko waded out into the water and sniffed the scent on the surface and then went on and tracked the buck. Great dog but not a breed for the faint hearted.

I must admit l had to google your dog breed I’d never heard of it before until your post but what a cracking result sounds like Niko was well trained by you, I’m sure your new lab pup will be just as well trained.
