yorky's are like apple pie from the usa every bugger makes them in differant ways as their mum showed them, The first ever recorded recipe appears in a book, The Whole Duty of a Woman in 1737 and listed as A Dripping Pudding - the dripping coming from spit-roast meat. i like mine cold with jam or hot with mint jelly ! sorry i hate them wet soggy gravy mess, yup and thay may have come over with the romans but none so far have been dug up in york city:rofl:
