Hi all,

After recommendations for large heavy duty gambrels and hooks.

Mainly shoot boar so needs to be strong.

Thanks in advance

I don't know about hooks, but the stainless steel gambrels from Bushwear are surprisingly good for the money, and I've hung some very heavy pigs on them. Certainly heavier than any wild boar you're likely to encounter in the UK.

David is an absolute gent to deal with and makes some decent kit.

Thank you

The Bushwear 10mm stainless s hook is substantial. Totally overkill for Roe and smaller species but handy to have and large enough to use for hanging by the aitchbone. Definitely up the job of hanging large boar.

Hi, I have one of these,

which is overkill for the beasts I'm shooting (Fallow & Sika). It may cost a little more with shipping and import duties, but I suspect it'll still be competitive with local prices. The largest I've had on it was a fine size Fallow buck, it was still (the gambrel) a little large. It's rated for 1,000lbs so ought to suit your requirement. Best of luck.:)

I’ve checked the links above. Does anyone know where I can get these in Stainless steel please? I find them really handy. But the steel is starting to tarnish/corrode hence stainless steel requirement.
