A lot of my work is around farm machinery so jumping out of the frying pan into the fire is often the case...
Some farms have kit from previous generations with a lot of those people who could work them have died or retired.
Farmers like a repair also lead time and cost these days is the major factor, filmed from my phone so not 5g quality but 2 of the 60mm shafts for a ring roller @ 6 tons needed a bit of TLC.
As luck would have it the shaft fitted in the lathe but I wanted to knock a hole in the wall to feed it in from the other direction, but the old grain wall said no lol.
Stick weld the low areas then turn back to size...! The old lathe was fighting me with the power feed not working also top gear is MIA but got it done.
With the rain coming they will use that time to fit the roller back together.
