glue for cheek raiser and foam

evening all,

i tried to glue a 3mm foam pad to the cheek raiser on my tikka SV,
i had some spray on car trim glue that iv used before for its intended purpose and its always worked a treat,
i sprayed some on the foam pad, some on the cheek raiser, let it go off a bit expecting it to stick like s*&t to a blanked, but it wasnt having it, came away at the edges and pulled off with ease,

any recommendations on what to use instead,

scratch that, iv just ordered some self adhesive stuff

I've used the self adhesive 5mm neoprene foam and it didn't stick very well due to the curve of the stock surface and the texture not being completely smooth.

I ended up using black kinesiology tape from eBay. Very sticky and stretchy so a great fit but doesn't leave residue when removed. It doesn't look as neat but it's very practical and cheap.

Just make sure you clean the stock surface with white spirit or some such to remove all oil/grease.

the stuff i bought on ebay came today so put that on and it stuck well, so i guess time will tell
