I am loving the Iturri cold wet weather boots I bought to replace the Meindls.

I’ve long been a fan of Alt-Berg boots (UK made and so on) but today I wore a pair of their new-ish ‘Mil Ops’ boots on Dartmoor. Straight out of the box, twelve miles over rough terrain carrying 17kg and very wet underfoot. Really comfortable and really supportive: I strongly recommend you look at them.

Don’t be put off by how cheap they are, I’ve had Meindl, Lowa and Altberg boots and the Grisport are up there in terms of quality workmanship, comfortable straight out the box, warm and waterproof, best boot bargain out there bar none

Totally agree, they are as good if not better than boots costing three times as much.
I use a pair of altberg defenders for most of my outdoor pursuits (just not stalked in them yet though 
). Pick up from ebay for under a hundred quid. Actually just bought a pair that has probably only been worn for less than a mile (treads still had the factory pebbling on them) for £60!
Did look at a pair of the grisports though, as they come highly recommended from the game shooters I know.

Was on the hill last week with my deditos and had wet feet inside the first 20 minutes. They’re 3 years old but haven’t had much use. Grim. I’m looking myself, hearing very good things about Crispi

Go to boots are the meindls, or wellies in very wet conditions. Bought in 2015..... thrashed hard and worn every single day for 18 months during one period.... No squeaky leather.... good support and warmth without making feet sweaty.

These for cold or very cold weather are excellent.
Very comfortable and I've found them good to -26C daytime and well below that at night.
Quite happy with Altberg for day to day wear.
how much did they actually do for you ? Seems most boots have gone to junk i bought dedito and mine are fine at present worn a lot but only had them from spring , replacing the junk Known as Harkila that lived hardly time
I think the one thing these boots threads turn up is that different people have wildly varying experiences with the same brand of boots,Dedito seem to be very marmite round here, some love, some hate them.My experience with altberg differs from most on here , I find them comfy but never found them very waterproof.
