My departed pal and I were working for Porsche in 1990 and I arranged to rent long term two holiday chalets on a small estate nearby. The chalets had sliding patio doors to the lounge from outside with a wood burner for atmosphere, I came home one evening and he had pinched a 4 metre long sapling from a woodpile in the woods and one end was propped up on a chair outside those doors and the other end was burning away in the open door of the wood burner he would then push it further in to the stove as it burned up, I really should have taken a picture as it was a so out of this world logic. He did have a Philippine wife though.

They were together for 25 years till he passed, he was 25 years older than her. She was a trained nurse before she arrived and retrained here and went into the NHS system, a good one she was, now she is retired on the IOW.
