Greens councillor disgusting behaviour

A spokesperson has already said “he has done so much good work I’m sure we can forgive him” so the horrible little 2 hat will likely still keep his position.
Hang on them leftys we're pulling down a statue of a bloke in Bristol who did loads of good things for the place but because they find offence at one aspect of the guys life they're all ranting and raving pulling his statue up the street an dumping it in the water

But at least only the second part of your day was miserable.

If you were a pessimistic cove you would have been miserable the whole day long...With just the hollow victory/satisfaction of an “I told you so” post rod snap. :)

Alan

Harsh...and yet...fair point.

Not a good start to the day, at least it wasn't while you had a fish on!
It would be worth contacting Hardy about replacing under their warranty.

Yes thank you - one of the chaps at the venue said that Hardy have a "lifetime" warranty.

My wife bought it as a gift in December so with CV Lockdown it was only its second outing - I emailed the shop (which has an excellent reputation) with photos and await their response.
No big deal in the scheme of things. My mate caught one but to the best of my knowledge that was it for the entire venue.

On the plus. Outdoors. Fresh air. Spaniels getting wet.

Best of all, a flock of Swallows taking insects off the water for about ten minutes in an aerobatic display that I shall never forget - magical.

If you don't get anywhere with the shop, try e-mailing Hardy's via their website, Hardy's/Purefishing, usually need Model number, serial number and date and place of purchase. As long as it's been registered there shouldn't be any problem.

hardy will have a warranty. Unless you jammed it into ground and it really snapped casting then claim
Admittedly not recently, but I know of a couple of rods that Hardy have sorted out after they were snapped by car doors.
As it is a new rod, that broke under normal usage, I wouldn't expect any issues though 🤞

Gentlemen, (Opticron)

I did as you advised. I did try the shop but to be fair to them they may be still be in lockdown.
Last week I emailed Pure Fishing - next day I had a reply from their Graham Pirie asking for my home address.

This morning the tallest tube in the world arrived - within was the replacement distal end of my new rod.
Credit where credit is due: that is excellent customer service.

Well done Pure Fish and thank you Graham (I shall cc this post into a thank you email to you).
