Greetings from Istanbul

Hi folks, My name is Onur. I am from Istanbul / Turkey.

My main business is about Turkish walnut woods. I supply Turkish walnut gunstock blanks from old walnut trees in Turkey. I also enjoy to prepare exhibition grade walnut wood knife handle blocks and nice figured scales, etc... I love my work even if it is really very hard to find a beautiful large and old tree in recent years.

This is my first message in this precious forum and i hope that we will know each other more here.

What part of Istanbul are you from?
I used to get over there every few weeks and used to stop at the Divan Hotel in Istanbul when I worked for Koch!!
Do you do much hunting ???

We are located at the Asian side of Istanbul. If you visit Istanbul again i will be happy to meet with you. I do not have much time for hunting as i am a walnut wood hunter so. ;)

Onur,
I used to travel over that damned bridge for over a year!!! before one of the guys suggested taking the ferry to Bursa and driving up to the factory from there. LOL
