Hello all,
I live in Ventura, CA which does not provide too many stalking opportunities except stalking at the range. I am a smallbore fan and have many rimfires both old and new, mostly the traditional style although I do have some semi-auto rifles and pistols. I do work the longer ranges for small game and varmints with a CZ 527 in Ruger 204 and a Savage Model 12 BVSS in 22-250 which will reach the 500 yard mark if I do my part. So far as competition I enjoy smallbore silhouette and am an AAA class shooter with a Sako Finnfire (P94) and D-class skeet shooter.
I am an NRA certified instructor for Rifle and Pistol and a cert as a Range Safety Officer. I coach a junior club that works to introduce shooting sports to kids 8-18 once a month for free. I have a BSA Sportsman 5 that I am interested in finding a magazine for and I have been told the users of this forum might be able to help in that quest. I wish I could come over and shoot with the members and experience how it is done in the UK.
