Hello! I'm a hunter from across the pond. I've found myself reading comments from the stalking directory many a times after an Internet search for hunting or shooting related items. My favorite cartridge is 6.5x55. I've handloaded it for years, in a Ruger Hawkeye African, tikka t3x, Sauer 100, an old brno commercial mauser, and Sako 85. I think it's the perfect cartridge 
. I hunt white tail deer, ruffed grouse, woodcock, fox, coyote, cotton tail rabbit, snowshoe hare, squirrel, dove/pigeon. I think the red stag epitomizes deer, I was blessed to be able to harvest a nice 6x6 with a kicker. Nice 4 pointed crowns, and long curved eye guards. Only thing that would have made it better would be if I got to do it in the "old county". I do some taxidermy and gunsmithing. I have mounted deer antlers for a lot of folks, but I do all that I shoot on my own take of a "black forest" plaque, which I power carve. Dna says my blood is 25% Norse, 25% North European, 20% Balkans, and I really like exploring that history. Thanks for having me!
