Got shot in the fore head with no 6shot at 60yds when I was 17 and beating on a big estate, a woodcock got up and went forward low one of the guns had a go at it which hit me and brought blood.
The gun was instantly dismissed from the line , and I ended up with two days driven shooting out of it as compensation I still have the scar to remind me.

yes three times
once flighting ducks with a friend a freak ricochet pellet hit me just under my left eye hard enough to break blood vessels under the skin , i had a love bite there for a decade
second time was by a walking gun when i was on the end of a beating line,he swung and fired at a woodcock it hit me in the chest and head with a barrell of 6s at about 60 yrds stung but didn't break the skin i had pellets lodged in the peak of my cap:-|
lastly i got a full blast of bird shot in the back from about 50 yrds that left a lovely full choke pattern in my northumbria wax again it was a muppet taking a shot at a low bird

i shoot on my own these days

Got shot once after a pellet ricocheted off water while wildfowling , also got accused of shooting someone on a rough shoot with a 12 bore from over 300 yards !!!! After pointing out that the pellets had been up inin the air and pattered harmlessly down around him he still insisted I shot him ! :cuckoo:

Got shot with blue tac from a BSA Airsporter when I was a nipper, hurt like hell as I recall:rofl:

I tend to try to avoid being in direct line of sight of the business end of anything that shoots now!

I do have the greatest deal of respect for those that stand in harms way so that we dont have to though through their chosen profession.

hit in the face buy a richochet off of a .22 short must admit that was a suprise as i was the one firing the rifle and also shot through the finger by a mate and his air rifle when we were kids after we decided it would be a good idea for me to balance a crab apple on the end of the barrel to see how far it would be shot off, hurt like hell and finger bled like a pigs ear but still managed to hide it from my parents to avoid a hiding

Several times with a shotgun, hit in the legs while rabbiting, had one stray pellet lodged in the back of my hand when rough shooting, and hit in the face by three pellets at thirty yards on a grouse drive the gun fired after the horn had gone , also been peppered a few times which stung but did not break the skin.

Most scary a client managed to put a .270 round through the rear skip of my fore and aft while I was wearing it that made my a**e cheeks tremble a bit.

5 pellets from a number 6, from 1" above right eye across right side of head, butt to butt at driven grouse. This was through a doubled up wooly hat which got pushed under the scalp, bled like you wouldnt believe when i pulled the hat off but no real damage done though. Hurt more when the doc started cutting x's trying to find pellets that had hit the skull and scooted round to the left side of my head . Still got one which is somewhere at the back of my neck or was the last frosty weather we had.
