You are correct that warranty is non transferable. It is however lifetime to the original owner, which is me personally, (be its a personal private sale) so any issues and it can be returned to me to return it or returned in my name (original reciept comes with it), whereby i could forward back to the new owner after its returned to me after any warranty repair.

However I doubt you would have any issues with this scope, this line is great. I was going to change it to another rifle but I require more magnification for my 3006
