Just joined the forum today but have looked at the pages on and off for a while now.
I live in Lancs and I am keen to do a bit of stalking having shot my first deer (Roe Doe) at the start of this year. So far I have mainly used my rifle for fox control but plan on taking a few more deer out of our shoot which covers 2500 acres in Yorkshire later this year. We don’t have huge numbers but they are eating the new trees as fast as we can plant them. I have seen up to 6 does at a time but never seen a buck so will just be looking to thin out the does first. I have only had my FAC for 12 months so I am still on a closed ticket but no longer have to be mentored so I am looking for new land to be added to my ticket. I hope to take the DSC1 course in the next 12 months or so and will be looking out for as many hints and tips as possible as I am still learning lots each time I go out.
