Hi everyone, I'm 25 years old from Georgia in the United States, and I've been a hunter, shooter, and conservationist my whole life. I joined you in hopes that someone across the pond could help me. I'm trying to find parts for my BSA .243, but cannot find a few key components over here. I have a barreled receiver with the factory code for Monarch in .243, stock, trigger assembly, trigger pin, mag well body, spring and follower, and that's it. I need everything else. The trickiest part to find seems to be the bolt and the trigger guard plate. I want to try and avoid stripping another gun to fix this one, but it's about the sentiment. Can anyone help me out?

Welcome to the forum, I am sure that there is plenty of knowledge about BSA's around here.

That's one big issue I've been working on; parts for BSA rifles state-side are very scarce, but I would think there would be more of an abundance over there
I've never shipped anything internationally, and I wouldn' know how to go about getting a complete bolt imported...

Chasefan this is the guy you probably need to speak to http://www.airgunspares.com/store/

John Knibbs bought up a lot of spares for BSA rifles when the company closed and over the years has become pretty much the first place to go when looking for parts for BSA.

Welcome to the forum, you have been given some areas to search, so hopefully you will find what you are looking for, if not you will need to wait the 30 days and have 30 posts before you can put an add in the sales/wanted section, unless some helpfull MOD can post what you need with a link to you, hope you stay an active member even after you find what you are looking for

Cheers

Yes, you guys gave me a good bit to work with. Honestly, I've been perusing your boards, and there's a lot of useful information and knowledgeable, experienced folks here,so I'm planning on sticking around for as long as you can tolerate a "Yank" like myself (though we prefer redneck down south :D )

Any disciple of the grooved bore is welcome I'm sure. Even better if it's one of .25 dimension!;)

Cheers

The guy you need to get in touch with here is a fellow called 'Brithunter' whose knowledge far surpasses most here regarding PH & BSA unfortunately admin here banned him.
I'm pretty sure he frequents a few American boards - you just might want to just google his username!

Brithunter, eh? Why does that sound familiar? I'll see if I can find him trolling a board somewhere. In the meantime, if there's anyone else who has intimate knowledge of Parker Hale or pre-'80's BSA, I'm always down for a history lesson
