Help needed.

Well, I thought that button would just switch the ir on!
It does in fact switch the unit on too!! Who’d have thought that? Not me.
When the screen lit up it said Pard!
Must be a copy as said.

Now, the other one has a battery hole that measures 16.87 mm. Not big enough for an 18650.
Any ideas which battery for that?
The AA size ones rattle round in it.
Ken.

Obviously you overwroughtthought it or…. maybe didn’t read the manual. If no manual available just hand it to a passing 9 years old - they sort it in seconds - little gits….

There is the possible explanation :
I have one older 18650 Jet Beam battery which is little bit smaller than all new ones - about 1-2 mm in lenght, not diameter.

Ha, i’d never heard of a 14500 battery.
If that’s the correct one for this machine I bet it won’t give much runtime.
Thanks, Ken.

Clever man….now, I need a 14500 battery asap, do you think you could get one to me quickly, perhaps phone it through the post? 😉
Thanks, Ken.

The add-on is a PARD 007 and going by the style of the objective lens I think the other is a no name NV scopes old by Custom Hunting (but no longer listed on their website)
I seem to remember Russ Douglas and I testing a very similar scope maybe 3 or 4 years ago and deciding it just wasn't very good
As for the battery it could be any of these 17500, 17650 or 17650 - all are nominally 17mm diameter, lithium ion rechargeable - just different lengths

Cheers

Bruce

Hi Bruce,
I think that’s probably right as I’ve found some papers in a box (Not with any unit) that appear to have yours and Russ’s names on them referring to nv.
Thank, Ken.

Must be a copy then as no writing anywhere. Can you id the on/off button please?
Thanks, Ken.
As far as I can recall the first 007 type Pards were imported by Clive Ward and sold under the badged name Warden Adder Scopecam. The identfication label was simply stuck on the side. There's no other reference to Pard on the case or in the menus. The on/off button is on the back of the laser turret and requires a long press to turn on/off. It is possible that the label has been lost sometime.

Hi,
This unit looks like brand new so even if it is an old early model it seems unlikely the sticker would have come off….but you never know.
These 3 will be on a table at the club on Sunday and go for whatever someone says they’ll give for them.
There’s loads of stuff including lots of clothing, various illuminators, tele sights, military clothing and a collection of military helmets.
A lot of bargains.
Thanks for all replies, Ken.

Bit of a update i have acquired this unit, I have had it working via a power pack. It as a version i assume firmware version M5 2020/08/14, No other links to makers.
It also has colour bw and a green screen and adjustable crosshairs, Night vision looks to be reasonable, not tested fully yet, I assume Chinese copy as you get the welcome goodbye screen on start up and close, No manufactures,
QUICK LOOK ON NET M5 Night Vision rifle scope" from 2020 just my thoughts close but not exact,
