Hi, I have just joined here as it seems like a great place to gain knowledge from those that have more experienced than me.
I'm in Argyll, Scotland, and in perhaps 3-5 years I'd like to buy some land and live an off grid lifestyle. As part of that I would like to be able to take fresh meat from the land. Not much perhaps one or two dear per year and also possible a handful of rabbits/geese if they happen to be arround feeding on my crops.
I'd love to know if this sort of sort of thing realistically possible, if so what sort of steps should I be taking to get me moving in the right direction. I'll try and research a bit first before I start asking the questions.
I have very little shooting experience, I had an air rifle when I was a teenager and also fired a small rifle at a range on holiday one time.
My immediate plan is to try and get my AWC and then go and gain some begginer experience at a a range and or some clay shooting
