Hiding little rat.

Saw calf standing broadside in fern today, it saw me and promptly dropped and no matter what noise I made it refused to show until the unseen hind down gully called it. I didn't hear the call but saw the calf's reaction and when it zoomed its ears into mum it vanished in a flash.. the rat caught me by surprise .It was only then that I got a glimpse of the hind 100 yards uphill heading off.

Different day, different rat succumbed to the 300 winny.
Why? Simply right place right time scenario.
I have a couple of the boys visiting later,they can take it home,its split in skin hanging in a bag to beat the flies.
