Shot my 308 and 6.5 06 at 1000yds yesterday, was a gentle breeze, I had 4 moa windage in on my 308 using 175gr smks, 6.5 06 using 142gr smks I had 0.3 mils in, does this sound about right, the elevation on 6.5 06 was on 6.7mils, how that compare with the 6.5x284 elevation at that range, approx 100yd zero, atb swaro

Thank god for that, nice to know my "approx 100yd zero" is OK for shooting 200 metres without doing the conversion ;)

It was 1st time out with 6.5 06, brand new barrel, I zeroed it in at 200yds aiming on edge of a mcqueens target and went by bullet holes I could see, after every shot the target got marked and hole was covered, then I would aim at the next corner to see the bullet hole, so on etc, I didnt get to shoot a group and see it, then I adjusted turrets down 0,4 mil for approx 100yd zero, then reset turrets down to zero if you know what I mean, then dialled in the elevation for 1000yds, as it happened elevation was cock on and about 1 foot right :D,
