Does anyone use these? I’m going to a thermal demo evening and will look at them but would be keen to know if anyone has any feedback? Can they replace carrying separate binos and a hand held thermal? I will say both my binos and thermals are very good, not cheap ones, but just looking to reduce the sheer amount of kit I’m carrying!!!!

No. It will not replace your binos.
Optical channel can not be focused, so day time colour and digital nightvision picture will newer be sharp enough.
Also base magnification is too low for serious hunting use.

Thermal channel is excellent though.

I had a chance to test it and my goal was to use it for exactly the same purpose as in your question.

Cheers

Thanks. Kinda what I suspected.

I have them and although the thermal is very good all the other options are pretty useless in my opinion, night vision isn't great very grainey and the day optics are basically a video camera type picture will never replace genuine day optics, if you haven't seen a pair either they are massive to the point I wouldn't recommend them,

Thanks. The reviews and videos on websites seem to think they’re great and that’s why I wanted genuine user feedback. Very helpful replies 👍👍👍. I’ll stick with my kit.

Reviews and videos online are generally paid promotions or the presenter is getting some sort of kick back and hence I don't believe they reflect the true opinion of a user, I use mine every other day, wish I had stuck with pulsar for thermal binos

1000% in regard to reviews, paid promotions, ambassadors, people getting products, special discounts to push certain products for retailers, youtubers are horrendous for it too ... its pretty embarrassing some of the stuff to be honest.. I mean everything some retailers sell is amazing, great, super, the BEST, every month !

I get calls from people who have watched a video and been sucked in by it, or looked at a product at a show and say its amazing.... for me there just cannon fodder for some retailers who will sell them anything and everything..... green as grass... It's also a minefield for people new to the market or even some people who have had the products for a few year that get pulled into the marketing blurb...

This goes for all product manufacturers....Einstein and Wilde quotes

Sorry for my english. I've use raptor a lot. Thermal is ok but not excellent because it emphatize stones, bushes ... like animals, so to detect animals if there are stones, bushes ... you have to accutare scanning the field; Iray xeye E6pro V2 has not this problem (I do not have pulsar, so i cant say nothing based on my experience). Using differen level of contast and brightness with raptor the problem remain. Pheraps Blackwood Outdoors can be more accurate on this aspect.
Day optical channel does not work well because you can not focus it. Night lamp does not work well so night optical channel does not work well.
There are two positive aspect of raptor: 1) scanning with thermal during the day you can pass in optical channel to see the exact position of the animal (if it is behind the bushes) and identify it with the telescope (without optical channel is very difficult to detect the animal with telescope if it is behind bushes). 2) If you use night vision with laser illuminator with small field of wiev it is difficut to reach the animal, with raptor in fusion mode you see the animal (with thermal) and ir with night channel so you can reach the animal with the ir lamps very easy.

Thank you. It definitely won’t do what I want, which was to replace my two separate pieces of kit: Pulsar thermal and top of the range range-finding binos with one piece of kit

like thermal bino is not perfect but ok, laser rangefinder works well. Day and night optical channel are usable only in the two way i've written before. I think it is not a piece of kit, then for what you are looking for is not what you need.
