I have heard that intentions are to make records of primers only, or loaded factory stuff only in the future this will include shotgun users too, thereby simplifying things, anyone else heard this?

Originally when expanding bullets became section 5 they tried to get primers limited but I think it was BASC who successfully oppossed this idea.
BASC Firearms Dept told me that it is their intention at the next review of the Firearms Act to have the requirement for Sec 5 (expanding) bullets to be face to face sales repealed. What point does it prove? Absolutely none as we all know. ACPO also feel that the current situation is resource intensive. "A" Max Hornady bullets prove what a farce the current legislation really is. After all a MatchKing is as dangerous, once loaded as a GameKing. BUT and it is a huge BUT, only in the wrong hands. FAC and SGC holders tend to be the most law abiding members of the community.
If it is their intention to put Sec 2 ammunition (shotgun) on ticket then they are going to have to redesign the forms and issue a hell of a lot of revised ones to everyone who currently holds a certificate. Still it is our money they are wasting.
